Reform support a strong policy on immigration. People entering the country with visas for work are welcome. The problem with the current immigration situation can be resolved with a more fluid points based system so that the right people with the right skills are granted entry and a policy whereby the numbers with visas are controlled i.e. one in and one out.
To deter illegal entry we have to be resolute to penalise those wishing to jump the queue or circumnavigate the process. The most effective deterrent is to enforce a period of non-entry which escallates to permanent refusal for repeat offenders.
I find it outragous that Whitehall fails to realise that immigrants and asylum seekers are people. It is a matter of common decency to treat people fairly, equally and quickly. Having people "layed-up" in hotels for months on end or on the other end of the scale, carte blanche letting "would-be" terrorists into the country is wrong at every level.
We need a swift processing system which fast tracks accepted people to integrate into our society and conversely move on those who have not been accepted to a safe place.
The "lefties" would have you believe that questioning immigration policy or having a migrant limit is racist. It is not. We have to protect our borders and our citizens and we also have to show humanity and compassion. Reform UK propose a fair and balanced solution so that we can put this decades long problem behind us.
Climate change isn't coming, it's already here. The world leaders have failed and global warming is the elephant in the room that is no longer distant. Both Labour and the Conservatives have no viable solution in the short, medium and long term. Their policies are aimed to drain the money from your pockets and into their own.
The biggest world-wide polluters are China, USA and India based on stats from the Climate Trade website with the UK not featuring in the top 10. Consequentially, we could argue whatever we do as a nation the effects of global warming are a clear and present danger to our way of life. We must engage the Environment Agency to implement a bold plan to increase the management of water flow i.e. dredging the Weaver, flood defences, irrigation and more so that as the effects of climate change are being felt we can react calmly.
In true British fashion we all have to do our bit; conscious of our carbon foot print, supporting green projects, make educated choices to the products we buy and recycle. But we must also be mindful of the true cost to our pockets and make realistic targets we can meet. Labours' 'Net-Zero' targets are admirable but wholly unachievable but the cost will be paid for by you.
I will drive forward my policies to make Runcorn a leader in research and technology. To reach our goal we'll drive beyond our ambition. What we haven't got we'll find. What doesn't exist we'll create. Together we'll find the energy solutions and place Runcorn firmly on the global map.
We are living through a cost of living crisis. Much of the blame can be laid at the doors of the Conservative Party and rightly so. But should Labour take up residence in No 10 things will get considerably worse. Reform are committed to making work pay. We want to stimulate growth in small and medium sized businesses and drive policies so that workers keep more of their wages.
Millions are being drawn into the taxable income bracket. So even though you earn more you keep less. We want to raise the tax thresholds. Firstly, noone will pay tax until they earn £20,000. That's around £7,000 more than now. Nurses, doctors, police officers and many people who are not wealthy are being drawn into a higher tax bracket. We want to raise this limit too to £70,000. Everyone gets to keep more of their wages.
We can pay for this by forcing government departments to reduce their spending by just 5%. Just 5p in the £1 savings will ease the burden for us all.
In addition to reducing tax I am committed to increasing the salaries, prospects and earning potential for us and our children by creating industries to attract sales that bring wealth from outside the local area. Only Reform have the solution.
